Your Guide to Art Week in Paris

This week, Paris becomes the world capital of contemporary art starting with FIAC, the renowned International Contemporary Art Fair.  During this week, 1000s of art lovers, collectors, galleries and dealers will be taking over Paris.  If you just happen to be in Paris or are on the market for some new art works, we’ve put together this special guide to help you navigate Art Week.

Over 1,500 artists will be showing their work in the aisles of the Grand Palais, the Petit Palais, the Tuileries Gardens, the Musée Eugène Delacroix and Place Vendôme.  Get your pass early to get first dibs and don’t forget to check out Gallery Night on Thursday evening, the 18th.

Asia Now

Europe’s first boutique art fair devoted to contemporary Asian art, this year’s Asia Now will feature the young, emerging Japanese artistic scene.  This year’s Japanese theme and program is organized as part of “Japonismes 2018,” a series of cultural events celebrating the 160th anniversary of Franco-Japanese relations.

Outsider Art Fair

This young art fair, started in New York 20 years ago, promotes the best of art brut and outsider art. This year, Outsider Art Fair is inviting 37 international galleries to exhibit at Atelier Richelieu.  The fair will also include a project as part of Michèle Lamy’s ongoing “Lamyland” series, which has previously been featured at the Frieze London fair and the Venice Biennale.
